Widening LoRA target modules can rebalance asymmetric errors and improve a critical slice while degrading global calibration. Evaluate target expansion with predeclared checkpoints, paired global error counts, and protocol-eligible slices before any promotion decision. A favorable slice does not authorize model selection or production promotion.
