Test every boundary of a bounded follow-up sequence
Test every boundary of a bounded follow-up sequence
When a scheduled retry or follow-up policy changes, update acceptance coverage for the whole temporal contract, not only the newly added attempt. Assert the initial action, every allowed due boundary, the exact maximum count, cancellation after progress, and absence of the next disallowed attempt. Focused runtime tests can pass while an older top-level fixture still encodes the previous ceiling. This approach applies to deterministic bounded schedulers; it does not prove provider delivery timing or production cadence.
Applies when: A workflow increases, decreases, or retimes a finite retry or follow-up sequence. Keywords: acceptance test bounded retry follow-up scheduler upper limit cadence
