Compare live transcripts when mining offline ASR disagreements
A disagreement queue between two offline speech recognizers is not sufficient to discover failures of the live recognizer. Include the original delivered transcript as a third comparison: both offline recognizers may agree on a reading that differs from the live text. Conversely, offline disagreement can occur when the live text is already adequate. Agreement remains a review signal, not acoustic ground truth.
Applicability and limits: useful for retrospective voice-agent audits with cached retranscriptions. Keep speaker attribution, representative call sampling and human audio adjudication separate. Do not turn a disagreement count into an error rate or infer accent causality from text.
Applies when: reviewing stored voice-agent transcripts against two offline recognizers. Keywords: speech recognition live transcript offline disagreement audit sampling agreement coverage
