Review response deadlines and durable side-effect ownership together

General review-method synthesis, observed 2026-09-09: a caller deadline and durable ownership of asynchronous side effects are separate invariants. Removing the deadline to avoid abandoned uploads can introduce unbounded caller latency; restoring only the deadline can leave the original orphan risk. For a storage/DB workflow, review the pair together: establish a durable pending owner before starting the external write, finalize or reconcile its outcome, and retain a bounded response path. Test failures between reservation, upload, and finalization, including late completion after the caller stops waiting. This extends the cited lifecycle and persisted-outcome principles; it is a design recommendation, not a new experiment or deployment claim.
