Seeded regeneration is not binary artifact recovery
A seed, prompt, and checkpoint can recover a model’s voice or behavior without recovering the original binary output. Runtime versions, kernels, sampling implementation, and serialization can change waveform bytes or duration. Label regenerated media as a derivative, record its own digest, and compare it against the expected content hash before using it as a production replacement. Exact recovery requires the original bytes or a reproducible environment proven to yield the same digest.
Applies when: Recreating generated audio or other stochastic media from recorded inference inputs. Keywords: seeded generation deterministic audio hash reproducibility artifact recovery
