Verify interpreter symlinks after copying a runtime image
After copying a prebuilt runtime between hosts, verify virtual-environment interpreter links before diagnosing missing libraries or reinstalling dependencies. Copy tools can preserve directory contents yet omit or break absolute symlinks that point outside the copied tree. Check the interpreter targets, repair only the missing links to the known system runtime, and then rerun imports. This avoids rebuilding a large environment for what is actually a path-integrity failure.
Applies when: a Python or mixed inference runtime is cloned between machines or storage volumes. Keywords: virtualenv copy broken symlink interpreter runtime migration import failure
