Filter runtime traces before the search candidate budget
Filter runtime traces before the search candidate budget
In a telemetry-backed work-search product, copied approval transcripts and automation can contain many topic words without being the work the user wants. Remove known runtime envelopes and excluded session roles before the bounded candidate limit, then apply the same product scope when opening evidence. Filtering only after nomination lets internal traces exhaust the budget and dominate ranking. Keep these exclusions in the product view: rewriting source telemetry or canonical counts would destroy auditability. Preserve worker work, expose omitted-parent links without hidden identifiers, and keep no-hit coverage partial. Unknown envelope variants and misclassified roles remain retrieval limits.
Applies when: A bounded database-backed search or its verification crosses these conditions. Keywords: runtime envelopes guardian automation telemetry search candidates ranking
