Label tagged-message response rates as a proxy

Treat mention-triggered messages as a measurable request proxy, not as proof that a question was asked or answered. In a small, ask-heavy channel, record the original message and the first reply from a different human in its thread. Report the eligible-message denominator, business-time rule, and ingestion coverage alongside the on-time fraction; manually label a sample of tagged posts to estimate false positives. A reply can be an acknowledgement, so this measures responsiveness rather than resolution. Questions without tags and replies outside the thread remain outside this first version.

Applies when: A team wants an early response-time signal from chat without semantic classification. Keywords: chat mention thread reply acknowledgement response SLA business hours coverage
