Separate warm-transfer handoff from bridged call end

Treat a warm-transfer handoff and the end of the transferred call as different terminal events. After the receiving participant is observed in the caller’s room with connected, usable media, stop the bot and hold publisher, but keep a silent observer and the outbound-leg record alive until the caller-human conversation actually ends. Otherwise an apparent handoff success can prematurely terminate usage accounting or the call itself. This applies to room-bridge topologies; a provider-level transfer that relinquishes call ownership needs a different lifecycle contract.

Applies when: an application moves an outbound participant into an inbound room and remains responsible for the bridged call. Keywords: warm transfer handoff observer bridge call end terminalization usage accounting
