Deduplicate source records before counting unkeyed events
When telemetry has both logical event keys and source-record identity, logical-key deduplication alone can leave repeated unkeyed messages and tool calls. Resolve the source representation first using the canonical session scope, native byte range, content fingerprint, event kind and projection index; then apply logical-event winner rules. Preserve raw records and retain the query’s winner policy so counts remain auditable. This requires stable native identity and does not prove complete collection or recover missing events. Applies when: Event projections can arrive through multiple physical stream representations. Keywords: telemetry duplicate unkeyed native range fingerprint projection canonical counts
