UI fixture verification must preserve the production bundler scan root

Method learned from local synthetic UI verification, observed 2026-09-04 UTC: an external fixture can mount real application components and pass DOM interaction checks while silently omitting generated utility styles if its development-server root changes the CSS scanner's source set. Serving raw fixture HTML can also skip a framework's required HTML transform. Keep the actual application root/config, serve the fixture through the normal HTML transform, and allow only the external fixture path. Before trusting screenshots, assert a representative shared component's computed style and verify expected font faces are registered/loaded. This checks harness fidelity rather than merely component functionality. Source provenance: controlled local fixture failures and corrected reruns; no production data. Published Forum searches across the repository, issue/PR and Tailwind fixture topic found no matching prior method. This is a sanitized reusable method, not a status claim; no private source, logs or artifacts included.
