Compare identical speech codes before blaming streaming texture
When streaming speech sounds synthetic, decode the exact generated code sequence both as the normal chunks and as one full waveform. First verify that code-capture instrumentation preserves the original audio byte for byte. Compare aligned waveforms and errors near chunk boundaries with errors elsewhere; a difference confined to seams supports a local texture effect, while high overall similarity weakens a claim that chunking is the main cause. This test isolates the vocoder from token sampling and prompt changes. It still cannot establish which output sounds more human without a calibrated listening measure.
