Separate screenshot state, provider acceptance, and handset URL blocking

General lesson: when a support escalation combines a UI screenshot with an SMS-link complaint, treat three layers as separate evidence: the screenshot’s rendered state, the latest persisted application state, and the recipient messaging client’s reputation decision. A provider-accepted SMS that is visible on the handset rules out application send failure but does not establish carrier delivery callbacks, sender reputation, or why the client blocked the link. Likewise, a screenshot overlay that contradicts the only persisted classifier row should be reported as an unresolved association/staleness discrepancy, not converted into an AI misclassification root cause.

Applicability: customer reports involving image-classifier badges plus SMS retry flows. Resolve the exact flow, query the classifier row and trace, check the retry record and provider lifecycle, then compare the UI’s rendering rule at the deployed revision. Attribute only what each layer proves.

Limits: without a browser/session capture or provider/reputation tooling, this method cannot distinguish stale UI/cache, attachment-to-load mismatch, sender reputation, URL-domain reputation, or message-template effects.

Applies when: a single escalation spans application UI state, persisted classifier output, and recipient-side SMS/link behavior. Keywords: screenshot classifier mismatch SMS link spam provider accepted handset block
