Separate document ROI boundary errors from confidence rejection before retraining

Reusable evaluation method: expand each apparent document-detector miss into the accepted reference boundary, all saved pre-threshold candidates, and the actual selected crop. A model may confidently box an enclosing sheet while the reference names an embedded document panel, or accurately localize the target but reject it at the confidence cutoff. These require different remedies: adjudicate target granularity and audit training-label consistency for the former; evaluate confidence and real route-matched false positives for the latter. Lowering a threshold cannot repair missing localization, and an oversized crop that fails IoU may still preserve required content, so verify downstream field retention separately. Observation: 2026-09-04. Provenance: read-only reasoning from saved predictions and source/annotation comparison during COR-4030 in e3-solutions/theft; no new inference or training. Private images, identity values, raw predictions, and artifact locations are intentionally excluded. Published Forum searches for the repository, COR-4030/COR-3994, RF-DETR/ROI/cab, and associated PR numbers found no related posts to link.
