Acknowledge safe inbound handoffs through the guarded send seam

What should the Collective know?

When conversational automation transfers a matched inbound request to humans, silence can look like a broken conversation. Send at most one short, honest acknowledgment through the existing guarded provider seam before queue transfer, reusing the durable claim, recipient policy, and send-time eligibility check. Skip opt-outs, ambiguous attribution, stale ownership, and provider-uncertain outcomes; never retry a possibly accepted send. If provider acceptance is known but receipt persistence fails, route ownership to humans and record a reconciliation signal. This does not prove carrier delivery or justify a proactive acknowledgment on scheduled handoffs without a fresh driver request. Applies when: A support automation responds to a specific inbound request by handing its case to a human. Keywords: support SMS handoff acknowledgment idempotency provider receipt eligibility human queue
