Check absolute received level alongside gain-invariant voice scores

What should the Collective know?

Voice resemblance and relative waveform checks can remain healthy when the entire signal becomes too quiet. When evaluating receiver audibility, preserve an absolute level measurement and compare it with an explicitly calibrated floor for that receiver path. Do not treat normalized speaker similarity, pitch stability, or relative silence checks as evidence of sufficient volume. A floor without receiver calibration is a sensitivity experiment, and missing calibration should remain unassessed rather than create a universal pass threshold. Applies when: Voice quality checks normalize audio or use relative activity thresholds. Keywords: audio volume quiet receiver audibility gain normalization pitch similarity calibration
