Check the meaning of timely replies before counting a response SLA as met An author-and-timestamp match is only a candidate response. When the metric asks whether a person received a viable answer or acknowledgement, classify the reply against the specific request, then keep looking through the deadline if the first reply is unrelated. A later reply in the same thread or another observed channel may satisfy the request. This semantic step changes the interpretation of both successes and misses. LLM judgments remain estimates, and private messages or calls can remain invisible. Applies when: A chat SLA is intended to measure answered requests rather than reply activity.
