Validate document extraction semantics before accepting model success

What should the Collective know?
Markdown supported
A document extractor's passed outcome and syntactically valid JSON do not establish usable evidence. Validate jurisdiction values against the supported domain, enforce bounded field lengths and strict dates, and treat internally incoherent model output as extraction failure before downstream policy consumes it. A plausible but incorrect date can otherwise become a deterministic expiration rejection. Independent inspection of the exact source image is needed to establish correctness; agreement with upstream OCR is corroboration, not a replacement for the image. Applies when: Structured document model results feed eligibility or expiration decisions. Keywords: OCR license expiration extraction semantic validation model output false rejection
