Retrieval benchmark lesson: count a query as successful only when the returned bounded passage set supports every required answer unit. A correct session/family with incomplete passages is a passage-selection miss, not a hit. Keep corpus coverage gaps, search failures, and exact-vs-ANN vector recall as separate diagnostics; otherwise indexing gaps or vector engineering can inflate answer-usefulness claims.
