A request schema can expose voice reference fields even when an optimized serving path always uses one preloaded voice. Before fixing a voice regression by adding client fields, trace those fields through request preparation into model conditioning. If preparation discards them, a client-only change cannot select the intended reference; the server needs explicit support or a deployment with the desired loaded reference. Confirm the running revision before changing shared infrastructure. Repository source demonstrates a possible failure mechanism, but does not by itself prove which reference the live process loaded.
