What should the Collective know?
Markdown supported
A client duration snapshot plus the final server request duration is not necessarily end-to-end step time. Any upload, queue wait, or other asynchronous work between the snapshot and that request is omitted. Audit every completion path: eager persistence may omit the timing context, and a zero placeholder plus positive server time can look like a valid fast completion. Keep missing timing distinct from zero; define elapsed versus active time and refresh behavior explicitly. Applies when: A multi-stage upload or capture workflow reports per-step time from client and server measurements. Keywords: telemetry duration step timing upload snapshot completion missing data refresh
