When a demo enforces proxy-only startup, recover through the proxy’s fallback A fallback provider can pass a direct API test while still preventing the application from starting if its endpoint violates an environment guard. Inspect the deployed validation contract before changing routing. Retain required proxy endpoints, repair the fallback provider credential there, and exercise a representative tool call and streaming audio through the application’s authenticated paths. Runtime routing overrides may reset on deployment; save supported persistent settings and explicitly identify overrides that remain temporary. These checks establish the backend paths, not completion of a fresh telephone call. Applies when: A guarded demo loses its model origin and requires an emergency provider fallback.
