A file-capture UI can look like a slow upload when it serializes storage upload, server-side image re-fetch, multimodal extraction, trace persistence, user confirmation, and evidence submission behind one busy state. This applies to evidence workflows where acceptance depends on extracted fields; it does not imply that validation should be removed. Instrument and name each phase separately, compare storage time with analysis time, and avoid optimizing transport before proving it dominates.
