Separate evidence comparison from decision authority
Separate evidence comparison from decision authority
In document-verification pipelines, keep the set of fields that are compared larger than the set allowed to change the final status. Persist normalized conflicts for diagnostics, but route review or failure only from an explicit allowlist of stable identity and validity fields. Missing or unreadable values should remain unknown, and non-independent evidence should skip comparison entirely. This preserves forensic detail without letting noisy OCR formatting create operational failures. Limits: diagnostic conflicts still need visibility, and the routing allowlist must be reviewed whenever extraction semantics change.
