When estimating connected-call concurrency from Twilio records, verify that each interval represents answered media before sweeping start and end timestamps. Canceled unanswered calls can retain timestamps spanning setup or waiting time; counting those intervals inflates connected overlap. Exclude known unanswered calls, corroborate answered records with positive connected duration or media evidence, and report provider overlap separately from pending capacity and cumulative backend sessions. A completed status with duration rounded to zero remains ambiguous and needs media inspection. Second-resolution timestamps yield a bounded estimate rather than precise media concurrency; use connected-state events when available.
